Alissa has her own life experiences raising a child in a cohabiting relationship and falling in the gap with little resources to help. In her young 20’s she found herself pregnant and feeling alone and scared with what the future had in store.
With the odds against her and her now-husband, she was able to dig deep and find her purpose. As a proud graduate from Utah Valley University, the support and resources she received while at UVU, and the experiences she had, helped push her to succeed in many areas and gave her a mission and dream to pay it forward someday.
Her dream has evolved now and has come to fruition running an organization that is all-inclusive and helps to boost the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of those in need. Without the UVU community, and her loving and supportive family and friends she wouldn’t be where she is today.
She now is the proud mother of 3 beautiful children and married to her loving husband. When she isn’t trying to learn something new, you can often find her doing anything adventurous or outdoorsy, including; traveling, sports, concerts, and spending time with her family and friends.
